OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 23 FEBRUARY 2019 – SIN HINDERS PROMISES

Open Heavens for Teens (23 February 2019) – Sin Hinders Promises
SIN HINDERS PROMISES – Saturday February 23rd 2019
Memorise: “Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me forever: but now the LORD saith, be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.” – 1 Samuel 2:30
Read: 1 Samuel 2:28-31
28 Moreover, I selected him out of all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer on My altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before Me. And I gave [from then on] to the house of your father [forefather] all the offerings of the Israelites made by fire.
29 Why then do you kick [trample upon, treat with contempt] My sacrifice and My offering which I commanded, and honor your sons above Me by fattening yourselves upon the choicest part of every offering of My people Israel?
30 Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, says, I did promise that your house and that of your father [forefather Aaron] should go in and out before Me forever. But now the Lord says, Be it far from Me. For those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.
31 Behold, the time is coming when I will cut off your strength and the strength of your own father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in your house.

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 23 FEBRUARY 2019 – SIN HINDERS PROMISES

Do you have dreams of a great future? Has God told you of many great things that He will do for and through you in the future? Then you must stay away from sin if you want those dreams to come to pass. You may think that with the corruption all around, it is impossible to stay away from sin, but you should take a cue from Joseph. When Joseph was a slave, he was tempted to commit fornication. His temptation was coming from a woman living in the same house as him. it was intense and sustained for a long period of time, yet, Joseph continued to live holy because he did not want to offend the One who alone can bring his dreams to pass.

Open Heaven for Teens 23 February 2019: [Saturday] Daily Devotional By Pastor E.A Adeboye –  Sin Hinders Promises

Do you know that each time you sin, you introduce stumbling blocks on your path to fulfilling God’s promises for your life? When this continues, it gets to a point where the promise is completely lost or reversed like it happened to Eli’s family (1 Samuel 2:30).
Key Point:
If you want to be great, you must flee every appearance of sin.
Open Heavens Daily Devotional Lessons for teens was written by Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, one of the largest evangelical Churches in the world and also the President of Christ the Redeemer's Ministries.
