Heaven 3 December 2021 TOPIC: The Only Source of Help
MEMORISE: They looked unto
him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. Psalms 34:5
READ: Psalms 112:1-8 (KJV)
1. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from
whence cometh my help.
2. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven
and earth.
3. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that
keepeth thee will not slumber.
4. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither
slumber nor sleep.
5. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade
upon thy right hand.
6. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the
moon by night.
7. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he
shall preserve thy soul.
8. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Esther 1:1-14, Esther 7:1-10,
Esther 8:1-17, Esther 9:1-32, Esther 10:1-3
Open Heaven 3 December 2021 MESSAGE:
Imagine how a wealthy man who is willing to do anything for
his wife would feel if she were to go to one of their tenants a bachelor
well-known for his philandering ways, to beg for bread.

2021 – The Cure For Shame
This
analogy, as apt as it may seem, does not even come close to describing how
horrible it is when Christians seek help from sources other than God.
When
humans look away from God and begin to consider lesser beings, including the
devil, for help, that is idolatry.
Sadly,
what many people do not know is that lasting help can only come from God and
not from such beings (Zechariah 10:1-2).
Our
only true source of help is the Almighty God, with whom there is no
impossibility (Luke 1:37). No wonder the Psalmist says in Psalms
121:1-2 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence
cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”
Open Heaven 3 December 2021 – OPEN HEAVEN FOR TODAY
In 2
Kings 6:27, a woman had sought help from the king during a siege against
Samaria. Thank God the king was wise enough to know he could do nothing of
himself. His sincere statement shows the true vanity in seeking help from any
source other than God.
God,
on the other hand, promised His children in Isaiah 41:9-10: “..Thou
art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. Fear not; for I am
with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I
will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my
righteousness.”
Beloved,
examine yourself: from whom are you seeking help? You are making a great
mistake if it is not the Almighty God. I am encouraging you to have complete
faith in God for that help you urgently need; He will not fail you.
Our
memory verse today gives us this assurance. You too will testify from today, in
the mighty name of Jesus. All you need is to be sure you have a Father-child
relationship with the Almighty God and leave the rest to Him-The Lord is your
only true source of help.
Cry
to Him today. If you are yet to be born again, repent of your sins and confess
them to the Lord. Surrender your life to Jesus Christ and then cry out to Him
for whatever help you need. He will surely help you.
Open Heaven 3 December 2021 PRAYER POINT:
Father, please send Your help to me today, in the
mighty name of Jesus.
Open Heaven 3 December 2021 HYMN: STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF CHRIST MY KING
1. Standing
on the promises of Christ my king, through eternal ages let his praises ring;
glory in the
highest, I will shout and sing,
standing on
the promises of God.
CHORUS
Standing,
standing, standing on the promises of God my Savior; standing, standing,
I’m standing
on the promises of God.
2. Standing
on the promises that cannot fail, when the howling storms of doubt and fear
assail, by the living Word of God I shall prevail,
standing on
the promises of God.
3. Standing
on the promises of Christ the Lord, bound to him eternally by love’s strong
cord,
overcoming
daily with the Spirit’s sword,
standing on
the promises of God.
4. Standing
on the promises I cannot fall, listening every moment to the Spirit’s call,
resting in my
Savior as my all in all,
standing on
the promises of God.

The Bible reading is Psalm 121: 1-8 and not Psalms 112:1-8 (KJV). Please correct it
