BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Samuel 17-18

Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE

From my little walk with God in the last 51 years that I have been born again, I have observed that God specializes in bringing something out of nothing. When it seems like there’s no way to solve a problem, He makes a way where there is no way, like He did for the Israelites in Exodus 14:21-22.

In Exodus 16:11-17, when the children of Israel were on their way to the Promised Land, God rained down readymade food from heaven.

Because they had never seen or tasted anything like it before, they called it ‘manna’.

In Numbers 11:1-32, when they were tired of eating only manna and wanted to eat meat, Moses cried to God on their behalf, and God told him there would be meat the next day.

As great as Moses’ faith was, he found it hard to believe there could be enough meat for all the Israelites within one day. By the next day, God had provided heaps of quails for them. One day, there was no meat, and the next day, there was an abundance. That is my God; He specializes in bringing something out of nothing. This is why you must never underestimate Him.

In 2 Kings 7:1-16, a city was experiencing a severe famine, and God spoke through His prophet that within 24 hours, there would be so much food that nobody would want to buy.

There was a top government official who said it was impossible; he saw it come to pass, but he died before he could partake of the miracle.

It doesn’t matter how hopeless a situation is; just bring God into the equation, and He will bring something out of nothing.

A woman once asked me to pray for her child, who was dumb and had never spoken since birth. I laid my hand on the child and said, “In the name of Jesus,” and the child said, “Amen!” I had not even prayed yet, and God caused the child who had never spoken before to speak.

He put a voice where there was none; I was so amazed, I almost jumped out of the window. I pray for you today; in those areas where the enemy has caused emptiness, barrenness, and stagnation, the Great I Am will cause something good and beautiful to come out of them.

God specializes in creating magnificent things out of dark and empty places like He did in Genesis 1:1-3. Every nothingness in your life will turn into something bright and beautiful today, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point

Lord, please turn every nothingness in my life to something bright and beautiful today, in Jesus’ name.

HYMN 13: Jesus Loves Me! This I Know

1 Jesus loves me, this I know,

For the Bible tells me so.

Little ones to Him belong;

They are weak, but He is strong.

Refrain:

Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!

Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.

2 Jesus loves me He who died,

Heaven’s gate to open wide,

He will wash away my sin,

Let His little child come in.

3 Jesus loves me, loves me still,

Tho’ I’m very weak and ill

From His shining throne on high

He will watch me where I lie.

4 Jesus loves me He will stay

Close beside me all the way,

If I love Him when I die

He will take me home on high.

TOPIC: Mighty In Battle

MEMORISE: Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Psalm 24:8

READ: 2 Chronicles 20:1-30 (KJV)

1 It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

2 Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.

3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

4 And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.

5 And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court,

6 And said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

7 Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

8 And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,

9 If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.

10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;

11 Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.

12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

13 And all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

14 Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation;

15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

16 To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.

17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.

18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshipping the Lord.

19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.

22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

25 And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

26 And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the Lord: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.

27 Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the Lord had made them to rejoice over their enemies.

28 And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the Lord.

29 And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the Lord fought against the enemies of Israel.

30 So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Samuel 15-16

Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE

In Psalm 24:7-10, God is described as the King of glory, the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle, and the Lord of hosts. In Psalm 107:20, the Bible says that He sent His word to deliver the Israelites from their troubles. It doesn’t matter how big the opposition you are facing is, the One who is mighty in battle will give you a great victory.

Jesus said in

John 14:6 that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. In John 8:32, He said that you shall know the truth, and it shall make you free. If you are facing an enemy that appears to be greater than you, my advice is that you surrender your life completely to Jesus now.

Once He makes you free, you are free indeed, and no one can oppress you again. In Luke 11:21-22, He said that the only way anyone can steal the goods of a strong man is if he or she is stronger. Since there is no one stronger than God, once you are surrendered to Him and have become His child, no one can take you from Him. This is why Jesus said in John 10:29:

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

In today’s Bible reading, when Jehoshaphat was attacked on every side by the Ammonites, the Moabites, and the inhabitants of Mount Seir, he called on the One who is mighty in battle. The instruction he received was, “Just praise me,” and he obeyed. He and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem and Judah fell before the Mighty Man in battle in worship. Nobody escaped after the Mighty Man in battle set Jehoshaphat’s enemies against one another.

All Jehoshaphat and his men had to do was gather abundant spoils because the Lord made them rejoice over their enemies. I decree today that any gang or group that comes to attack you will help to utterly destroy one another; the Mighty One in battle will set your enemies against themselves, in Jesus’ name. In the name above every other name, none of your enemies will escape the sword of the Mighty One in battle.

Beloved, surrender totally to Jesus today if you are yet to do so. He is the Almighty, and He never loses a war. When you surrender, you give Him room to fight your battles for you, just as He fought Jehoshaphat’s and gave him victory.

Prayer Point

Mighty One in battle, I surrender to You today. Please fight all my battles for me, in Jesus’ name.

HYMN 1: All Hail The Pow'r Of Jesus' Name

1 All hail the power of Jesus’ name!

Let angels prostrate fall.

Bring forth the royal diadem,

and crown him Lord of all.

Bring forth the royal diadem,

and crown him Lord of all!

2 Let highborn seraphs tune the lyre,

and as they tune it, fall

Before His face Who tunes their choir,

and crown Him Lord of all.

Before His face Who tunes their choir,

and crown Him Lord of all.

3 Crown Him, ye morning stars of light,

Who fixed this floating ball;

Now hail the strength of Israel’s might,

and crown Him Lord of all.

Now hail the strength of Israel’s might,

and crown Him Lord of all.

4 Crown Him, ye martyrs of your God,

Who from His altar call;

Extol the stem of Jesse’s Rod,

and crown Him Lord of all.

Extol the stem of Jesse’s Rod,

and crown Him Lord of all.

5 Ye seed of Israel’s chosen race,

ye ransomed from the fall,

Hail Him who saves you by his grace,

and crown Him Lord of all.

Hail Him who saves you by his grace,

and crown Him Lord of all!

6 Hail Him, ye heirs of David’s line,

Whom David Lord did call,

The God incarnate, Man divine,

and crown Him Lord of all.

The God incarnate, Man divine,

and crown Him Lord of all.

7 Sinners, whose love can ne’er forget

the wormwood and the gall,

Go spread your trophies at His feet,

and crown Him Lord of all.

Go spread your trophies at His feet,

and crown Him Lord of all.

8 Let every tribe and every tongue

before Him prostrate fall,

And shout in universal song,

and crown him Lord of all.

And shout in universal song,

and crown him Lord of all.

TOPIC: The Great Physician

MEMORISE: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Psalm 103:3

READ: Luke 4:37-40(KJV)

37 And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.

38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. And Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.

39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.

40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Samuel 13-14

Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE

God is the Great Physician. In Exodus 15:26, He said, “…I am the Lord that healeth thee.” The Bible says that He sent His word and healed them (Psalm 107:20). He is the God of all flesh, and nothing is too hard for Him (Jeremiah 32:27).

Some diseases are termed incurable, but for God, no disease is incurable. Even if a damaged body part is deemed irreparable, He can replace it. While earthly physicians refer cases to each other when they cannot handle them, the Great Physician never refers a case – He is a specialist in all fields of medicine.

Years ago, a wealthy chief, who became paralysed from the waist downwards, was taken to the best hospital in London. After trying their best and he didn’t get better, the doctors gave up. To prove the hopelessness of his case, the head surgeon drove a long pin through the chief’s thigh, and when the latter felt no pain, he told him, “Go home, stop wasting your money, you will never walk again.”

The chief was taken back home, and a young girl, who is a member of RCCG, witnessed to him and said, “If you can get to my G.O., you will walk again.” The chief was brought to Redemption City, and because he had a big stature, six hefty men had to carry him into my living room. I told him my God can change the doctors’ report and that if he surrendered his life to Jesus, things would change. He surrendered his life to Jesus, we prayed, and he walked back to his car!

What renowned medical specialists termed impossible took God only a few seconds to do!

I have seen God turn hopeless cases into great testimonies. Thave seen Him step into sorrowful rooms as a result of the death of loved ones and turn them into places of joy and laughter. I have seen Him do the impossible, and your case will not be different; just believe in Him because all things are possible to him that believes (Mark 9:23). He turned around the 12-year-old case of the woman with the issue of blood in a second (Luke 8:44). Lazarus’ four-day-old dead body didn’t take him hours to resurrect (John 11:43-44). The man at the pool of Bethesda with the 38-year-old infirmity received instant healing (John 5:1-9).

If you have any sicknesses or diseases in your body, I pray that the Great Physician will step in and turn things around immediately, in Jesus’ name.

Key Point

There is no hopeless case with the Great Physician.

HYMN 25: The Great Physician Now Is Near

1 The great Physician now is near,

The sympathizing Jesus;

He speaks the drooping heart to cheer,

Oh, hear the voice of Jesus.

Refrain:

Sweetest note in seraph song,

Sweetest name on mortal tongue;

Sweetest carol ever sung,

Jesus, blessed Jesus.

2 Your many sins are all forgiv’n,

Oh, hear the voice of Jesus;

Go on your way in peace to heav’n,

And wear a crown with Jesus.

[Refrain]

3 All glory to the dying Lamb!

I now believe in Jesus;

I love the blessed Savior’s name,

I love the name of Jesus.

[Refrain]

4 His name dispels my guilt and fear,

No other name but Jesus;

Oh, how my soul delights to hear

The charming name of Jesus.

[Refrain]

MEMORISE: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto l sent it. Isaiah 55:11

READ: Hebrews 4:12-13 (KJV)

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Samuel 4-7

Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE

In a world of constantly changing laws and policies, God can be trusted to remain an absolute constant, as l discussed yesterday.

His words, principles, and actions are consistent, and they can never change.

When politicians campaign for political offices, they make numerous promises, some of which they often fail to fulfil.

God is never like that; His promises are constant, and His deeds can be absolutely trusted.

Many things are constant about God; I will discuss one today – His word – and three more tomorrow.

God’s word existed before the world began, and it will remain long after the earth passes away (John 1:1).

If He makes you a promise and you play your part as He requires, no matter how long it takes, He will surely fulfil it.

One day, I was praying, and God said, “Son, presidents will come to the camp to worship.”

At that time, it seemed impossible, but Daddy said it, and as far as l was concerned, it was settled already.

Therefore, with faith, we built a presidential lodge immediately, and it was the biggest building in the camp (now Redemption City) back then.

Three years passed, and when no president came, some senior pastors said to me, “Daddy, you are our president.

Why don’t you move into the presidential lodge?” They didn’t fully understand why we built the presidential lodge, and they felt that I wanted to live in a big house but didn’t know how to tell them.

I told them, “No! That’s not my house. It’s for presidents; they will come.” Of course, presidents have come and are still coming.

No matter how long it takes, God’s word and promises will come to pass.

According to today’s memory verse, the potency of God’s word is constant; no word that comes out of His mouth will return to Him void.

This means that you can claim whatever you see in the Scriptures, and you will receive it if you believe.

For example, Deuteronomy 28:13 says that you shall be the head and not the tail. If you believe this, then you will indeed be the head.

1 Peter 2:24 says that you have been healed by His stripes. If you believe this, then sickness has no place in your body.

Situations may vary, but God’s word is constant. No matter how bad a situation appears to be, God can turn it around for good because His word is living and powerful, and that will never change.

Key Point

Your situation is a variable, but God’s word is constant. His word never fails.

HYMN 3: Ancient Words

1. Holy words long preserved,

For our walk in this world,

They resound with God’s own heart;

Oh, let the ancient words impart.

REFRAIN:

Ancient words, ever true,

Changing me and changing you,

We have come with open hearts;

Oh, let the ancient words impart.

2. Words of life, words of hope,

Give us strength, help us cope,

In this world, where e’er we roam;

Ancient words will guide us home.

3. Holy words of our faith,

Handed down to this age,

Came to us through sacrifice;

Oh, heed the faithful words of Christ.

4. Holy words long preserved,

For our walk in this world,

They resound with God’s own heart;

Oh, let the ancient words impart.

MEMORISE: For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Malachi 3:6

READ: Lamentations 3:22-26 (KJV)

22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Samuel 1-3

Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE

We live in a world of constants and variables. For example, the heights and weights of humans are variables as they differ between individuals.

Wealth is also a variable because some people are rich while some are poor.

Even among the rich, wealth remains a variable because a fellow can have riches today, and it could all be gone tomorrow (Proverbs 23:5).

In contrast, constants represent things that never change. For instance, men do not get pregnant and give birth.

In life also, we have variable constants; these are things that are supposed to be constant but can be subject to changes.

For example, adults are supposed to have 32 teeth, but if you check, you may find that some adults have less than 32 teeth.

Ecclesiastes 12:3 says that the grinders become few with age, which is the Bible’s wonderful way of saying that you may lose some of your teeth as you grow older.

Furthermore, we have absolute constants. For example, a day following a night is a constant.

It has been happening since the world began, and it will continue to happen until God says otherwise.

Psalm 30:5 says that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

It is certain that a day will follow a night; therefore, before sunrise tomorrow, all your sorrows will be gone, in Jesus’ name.

Our God is an absolute constant. In today’s memory verse, He said, “…l am the Lord, I change not…” He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Who He was is who He is – He never changes. That is why He introduced Himself to Moses as I AM, not 1 WAS, nor ‘I WILL BE’.

If He gave someone a miracle yesterday, you can rest assured that He can give you the same today.

The God who healed the sick and made the lame walk is still the same.

Do you have a case that looks impossible? Our God is Almighty, and there is nothing impossible with Him (Luke 1:37).

Pray and search through the Scriptures for God’s word to you concerning the situation, for the things that were written in the Bible were written for your learning, that you might have hope through patience and the comfort of the Scriptures (Romans 15:4).

Beloved, God never changes; His word is constant (Isaiah 40:8). Let your heart be filled with hope because His word never fails.

Hold on to His word, and very soon, your hope will be turned into testimonies.

Key Word

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. He is our sure constant amidst

HYMN 21: My Hope Built On Nothing Less

1. My hope is built on nothing less

Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;

I dare not trust the sweetest frame,

But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

Refrain:

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;

All other ground is sinking sand,

All other ground is sinking sand.

2. When darkness seems to veils His face,

I rest on His unchanging grace;

In every high and stormy gale,

My anchor holds within the veil. [Refrain]

3. His oath, His covenant, and blood,

Support me in the whelming flood;

When all around my soul gives way,

He then is all my hope and stay. [Refrain]

4. When He shall come with trumpet sound,

Oh, may I then in Him be found;

Dressed in His righteousness alone,

Faultless to stand before the throne. [Refrain]
