MEMORISE: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Ephesians 1:11
READ: Jeremiah 18:1-6 (KJV)
1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
2 Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
5 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE
Over the past three days, I discussed how everything that happens on earth is according to God’s design and that we are actors in His grand play. Because God is the writer of the play, He can change some things in it, such as actors, scenes, sequences, and the like, to suit His grand vision.
For example, in 1 Samuel 2:30, He told Eli, “I said indeed that you and your father’s house will stand before me forever, but now, I change my mind.” That is an instance of God changing the actors that would be involved in carrying out His grand vision. God is the Writer and Director of your life, and the earlier you cooperate and surrender to Him, the better it will be for you.
I pray that you will never do anything that will cause God to change His mind concerning His good purpose for your life.
As the Director of your life, God can also change parts of your life that don’t fit His purpose anymore. In today’s Bible reading, Jeremiah was in his house when God told him to go to a potter’s house because He wanted to speak to him there. If I were Jeremiah, I would have asked,
“Daddy, are we not speaking already? Let’s continue our conversation here.”
Thank God Jeremiah was an obedient fellow, and as l mentioned in the just-concluded series, obedience will keep you at the centre of God’s will. He stood up immediately and went to the potter’s house, where he met the potter working on a vessel.
As Jeremiah watched, the vessel got damaged in the potter’s hand, but instead of throwing it away, the potter remoulded it into another vessel. By the time he was done, it didn’t look like the vessel had once been damaged.
And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Jeremiah 18:4
Beloved, God can change those damaged portions of your life if you surrender everything to Him. He can remould you into another vessel fit enough to fulfil His original plan for your life. Don’t give up on the promises He has made to you or the glimpses of the glorious destiny that He has shown you because of negative circumstances or past mistakes. He can change everything and make your life a beautiful story of His grace – only put your trust in Him.
Prayer Point
Father, I surrender myself to You. Make me a vessel that is fit to fulfil Your good plan and pleasure, in Jesus’ name.
HYMN 6: I Am So Glad That Our Father In Heaven
1 I am so glad that our Father in heaven
Tell of His love in the book He has given;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see;
This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.
Refrain:
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me,
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.
2 Jesus loves me and I know I love Him;
Love brought Him down my lost soul to redeem;
Yes, it was love made Him die on the tree:
Oh, I am certain that Jesus love me.
3 In this assurance I find sweetest rest,
Trusting in Jesus I know I am blessed;
Satan, dismayed from my soul doth now flee,
When I just tell him that Jesus loves me.
4 Oh, if there’s only one song I can sing,
When in His beauty I see the great King,
This shall my song in eternity be,
“Oh, what a wonder that Jesus loves me!”
5 If one should ask of me, how can I tell?
Glory to Jesus, I know very well!
God’s Holy Spirit with mine doth agree,
Constantly witnessing Jesus loves me.

MEMORISE: The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Psalm 33:11
READ: Genesis 50:16-20 (KJV)
16 And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying,
17 So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.
18 And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants.
19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?
20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE
As I conclude the teaching I started two days ago, I want you to take special note of today’s memory verse. It tells us that God’s counsel will stand forever. This implies that no matter what anyone tries, God’s plan for your life can never be changed. Isaiah 46:10 says, “…My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:”
When things that do not seem to align with God’s plan for your life start happening to you, don’t despair; trust God and be confident that He is able to make all things work together for your good. For example, in the Bible, God showed Joseph a glimpse of His plan for his life in two dreams (Genesis 37:5-9).
However, instead of keeping his mouth shut, he announced the dreams to his brothers and parents. His brothers got angry and sold him into slavery. They thought they were destroying him, but little did they know that they were helping Him towards his destiny.
After he was brought into Potiphar’s house, tragedy struck again, and he found himself in prison. I’m sure the devil must have mocked him and asked, “Now, what has become of your big dreams?” However, God never fails to bring His word to pass; He hastens His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). The bigger the challenges, the more He will showcase His mighty power.
God had a great destiny prepared for David, but the moment the oil came upon his head and he was anointed as king, it seemed all hell was let loose upon him. He became a fugitive for 13 years, moving from one hideout to another. In his psalms, he recorded how he felt during that season (Psalm 88:15, Psalm 25:16).
However, despite all he faced, he still became Israel’s king as God ordained. I am sure that was why he said, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19).
Beloved, no matter how much the enemy tries to stop you from achieving that glorious destiny that God has prepared for you, I want you to know that all things will work together for your good when you love God, and you are aligned with His purpose (Romans 8:28).
Loving God means that you must obey all His commands (John 14:15). Don’t lose hope when negative circumstances come your way. Trust in God, obey all His commandments, and He will surely bring you to a glorious end in Him.
Key Point
No matter the difficulties you may be facing in your life, God is able to make all things work together for your good.
HYMN 30: When We Walk With Lord
1. When we walk with the Lord,
In the light of His word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey!
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
2. But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
For the favour He shows
And the joy He bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey. [Refrain]
3. Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way,
What He says we will do,
Where He sends we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey. [Refrain]

MEMORISE: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11
READ: Psalm 139:13-17 (KJV)
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE
When I got born again over 50 years ago, I had many questions because I was an academic. As a baby Christian, I had a lot of questions, and I believe my pastor would probably have gotten tired of me if I had asked all of them. I had questions like, “Is it true that God knows the end from the beginning? If yes, did He know that Adam and Eve would eat the forbidden fruit? If He knows the end from the beginning, then He should have definitely known that Adam and Eve would eat the forbidden fruit.
If He knew that they were going to eat the forbidden fruit, why did He plant it? If He planted it, and they ate it as He knew they were going to, why was it an issue?” I had many such questions, and eventually, I turned to God and said, “Daddy, You see my heart; You know I am not issuing You queries. I just want to understand Your word better. Can You please answer these questions?” Finally, I got an answer from God. learnt from Him that the whole world is a stage, and all of us are actors, just as Shakespeare, an English poet, had written. There is a play written by the Almighty God Himself, and this is why Hebrews 10:7 says in reference to Jesus:
Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
Acts 15:18 says, “Known unto God are all His works, from the beginning of the world.” Before you were born, God wrote a play, and you and I are to be actors in it. He is the Executive Producer, Producer, and even the Director, and we must follow His instructions to be able to function properly and play our parts according to His design and desire. You can rest assured that His plans for you are great. Today’s memory verse says that God’s thoughts towards you are those of peace and not evil to bring you to an expected end in Him.
Beloved, God has a great plan for your life, and He intends for you to fulfil it so you can enjoy His peace. However, you must follow His script as it is contained in His word. Trust and obey His word, and He will bring you to a glorious end.
Key Point
Glory awaits you if you live your life strictly according to God’s word.
HYMN 23: Take My Life, And Let It Be
1 Take my life and let it be
consecrated, Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days;
let them flow in endless praise,
let them flow in endless praise.
2 Take my hands and let them move
at the impulse of thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
swift and beautiful for thee,
swift and beautiful for thee.
3 Take my voice and let me sing
always, only, for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
filled with messages from thee,
filled with messages from thee.
4 Take my silver and my gold;
not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
every power as thou shalt choose,
every power as thou shalt choose.
5 Take my will and make it thine;
it shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart it is thine own;
it shall be thy royal throne,
it shall be thy royal throne.
6 Take my love; my Lord, I pour
at thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be
ever, only, all for thee,
ever, only, all for thee.

TOPIC: Excellence By The Spirit
MEMORISE: Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm Daniel 6:5
READ: Acts 6:1-8 (KJV)
1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE
When people say, “You can do better than your best,” they mean that a person can still improve on his or her greatest achievement.
However, when we talk about excellence, it means that something is so good that it cannot be improved upon.
In Luke 1:31-32, the angel told Mary that the baby she was about to conceive would be great. In Philippians 2:9-11, the Bible says that God gave Him a name that is above all names.
John 3:34 also says that God gave Jesus the Holy Spirit without measure. What determines how great a believer will become is how full of the Holy Spirit he or she is. Jesus was excellent because He did not carry the Holy Spirit in a measure; He was totally full of the Holy Spirit.
One of my children once came to me and asked,
“Daddy, do you know the Bible very well? Who is Prochorus?”
I asked,
“Is that name in the Bible?”
“I thought you said you know the Bible.”
He asked again, “Who is Nicanor?” | told him I didn’t know. “Who is Timon?” I said, “You mean Simon?” He said, “No, Timon.” I replied that I didn’t know Timon.
Then, he told me that all the names he mentioned were part of the first seven deacons. This shows that in a group of selected people with the same qualifications and experience, some of them will still stand out as being excellent. They all had the same qualifications; however, when asked to list the names of the first deacons in the Bible, most people will only mention Stephen and Phillip.
In today’s Bible reading, we see that Stephen was excellent and did great wonders and miracles among the people because he was full of faith, power, and the Holy Spirit. Being full of the Holy Spirit is in different levels, and your level of thirst will determine the level of fullness you will operate in. Beloved, to achieve excellence, prioritize being filled with the Holy Spirit at all times. Spend quality time in God’s presence, praising and worshipping Him. As you do this, you will become full of the Holy Spirit, and you will be empowered to excel even above those who are considered to be the best.
Prayer Point
Holy Spirit, please fill me until I overflow, in Jesus’ name.
HYMN 24: I Want To Be Like Jesus
1 Earthly pleasures vainly call me;
I would be like Jesus;
Nothing worldly shall enthrall me,
I would be like Jesus.
Refrain:
Be like Jesus - this my song,
In the home and in the throng;
Be like Jesus, all day long,
I would be like Jesus.
2 He has broken every fetter,
I would be like Jesus;
That my soul may serve Him better,
I would be like Jesus. [Refrain]
3 All the way from earth to glory,
I would be like Jesus;
Telling o’er and o’er the story,
I would be like Jesus. [Refrain]
4 That in heaven He may meet me,
I would be like Jesus;
That His words “Well done” may greet me,
I would be like Jesus. [Refrain]

MEMORISE: For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. Psalm 36:9
READ: Psalm 32.8-9 (KJV)
8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Chronicles 10-12
Open Heaven For Today 2025 MESSAGE
In Genesis 47:7-9, Pharaoh asked Jacob, “How old are you?” Jacob responded, “I have travelled 130 years; my forefathers travelled longer.” The question, ‘How old are you?’ simply means, how far have you gone in the journey of life? The moment you are born, you begin a journey on earth. However, when you die, that journey ends; then, you face eternity either in heaven or hell, depending on whether you gave your life to Jesus Christ or not.
Let me ask you a question: since you’re on a journey on the earth, are you travelling in the right direction? Do you know God’s ordained destination for you?
Today, many people travel through life without seeking to know God’s will concerning their destination – you cannot afford to do that. You were born for a purpose, and if that purpose is not fulfilled, you will answer to the Giver of the life you are living now. Your decisions, whether small or big, will determine your destination in life. In Genesis 13:10-11, Lot decided on where to settle based on how pleasant the place looked without finding out God’s will. That single decision changed the course of his life and those of his descendants forever.
Beloved, the One who set you on this journey has a predetermined destination for you and a map for you to get there. He said in
Jeremiah 29:11 that He will bring you to an expected end
While God reveals destinations, He does not provide the full details about the journey all at once. He told Abraham,
“Leave your father’s house, and I will take you to a land that I will show you.”
He also told the Israelites,
“I will take you to a Promised Land.”
He showed Joseph that he would become a great ruler, and He also told Peter that He would make him a fisher of men. All these people had an idea of the destination, but the map to get there remained with God. The map that shows how you will fulfil destiny is with God; if you stay close to Him, He will guide you. David said in Psalm 119:105:
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Beloved, if you lose your relationship with God, you will lose your map, and you will likely arrive at the wrong destination. Stay close to God, and let Him guide all your steps in this journey of life.
Action Point
Father, please help me to remain close to You forever so that I can arrive at Your ordained destination for my life, in Jesus’ name.
