Open Heaven 22 September 2021 Topic: Are You on the Right Side?

Open Heaven 22 September 2021 MESSAGE:

In John 21:1-6, we read about the disciples encounter with the resurrected Jesus at the Sea of Tiberias where they had gone fishing. In spite of all their hard work, they had caught nothing. Jesus came to them, but they initially did not recognize Him. He then teased them, asking Children, have ye any meat? The answer was obviously negative. When you are not where you should be, you are on the wrong side and this can bring untold hardship and sorrow.

Jesus had compassion upon the apostles and gave them a directive to cast their net to the right side of the boat for a catch. They obeyed and hauled in a mighty catch. Every child of God must always strive to be on the right side of the Lord doing His will, obeying His word and walking according to His ways.

 

“And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other” Genesis 13:10-11

Lot greedily chose the land that seemed good for his flocks without consideration for the elderly uncle who brought him out to choose first. Unfortunately, it was the wrong side; it was a place marked for destruction. The land was totally destroyed and Lot lost everything except two of his daughters. He even lost his wife to the destruction.

“Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. But his wife looked back from behind, and she became a pillar of salt.” Genesis 19:24-26

Open Heaven 22 September 2021 – OPEN HEAVEN FOR TODAY

Beloved, please come to the Lords side today if you are yet to answer His call. Repent and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour. He will prosper and give you all-round rest as He has promised, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father, please take me away from the wrong side of life and bring me to the right side, in Jesus name.
